Upswing
The Upswing Program is designed to work with children and their parents who are at a risk of becoming involved with the juvenile court system under a CHINS (Child in Need of Services) petition. The programs offers young people ages 6-17 an avenue for resolving problems before the situation reaches the stage where court involvement would be necessary. The Upswing Program proves families with access to community services, advocacy, assessment services, crisis intervention, referral to long-term support agencies, and teaches decision making and communication skills. |

Genesis Gatekeeper Program - Contact Bev Bolduc: (603) 524-1853, x125
The Genesis Gatekeeper Program works with community-based volunteers, throughout the Lakes Region, who help locate isolated older people in our communities who are at risk with physical or mental health problems.
The Genesis Gatekeeper Program systematically identifies high-risk elders, particularly those who are isolated, living alone, and in need of some assistance to maintain their independence and stay in their own homes.
Gatekeepers are often employees of corporations, businesses and organizations who have contact with the most isolated elders throughout our communities.
Gatekeepers are trained to recognize signs and symptoms that may indicate when an elder needs assistance. If a problem arises the Gatekeeper makes one phone call to Genesis Elder Services about that person. Gatekeepers are not expected to provide any services to the elder, or to fill the role of social workers or counselors. All we ask of Gatekeepers is that they go about their daily activities with a watchful eye.
