On behalf of the men and women of the Laconia Police Department, I would like to welcome you to our website. The Laconia Police Department is a professional organization that prides itself in delivering the highest level of service possible.

The Laconia Police Department is a progressive, community-oriented agency with over 50 employees. Many people refer to community-oriented policing as a strategy or tactic. We believe community policing is much more than that -- it is a total philosophy. We are committed to adopting a problem-solving model of policing in which we address the root cause of problems rather than implementing only a quick fix. Members of the Department are encouraged to try new and otherwise non-traditional policing methods in working with the community and other government agencies.

We also see our role in the community as not only providing exceptional service to our local residents, but also working hard to meet the needs of the thousands of visitors that come enjoy our lakes and mountains throughout the year.

The Laconia Police Department is staffed by an exceptional group of hard working men and women. It is an honor for me to work with such a professional and dedicated staff. It is a goal of mine to be open to community input.
